With the suicide deaths of Kate Spade, Robin Williams, Anthony Bourdain and the emotional distress of Whitney Houston, Mariah Carey, and Ryan Tedder, it is evident that we the people are suffering from mental health illness and emotional distress.

It’s not just plaguing celebrities, but it has reached down into the lives of today’s youth and even everyday heroes. We have finally taken notice that society as a whole is suffering because of what we don’t know about mental and emotional health.

​Now that the big names have gotten our attention, we are open to receive the information needed and it’s my desire to help us all understand the issues. With a schizophrenic dad and a narcissistic ex-husband, I have been given some insider clues as to what the mind of the mentally ill and the emotionally distressed looks and sounds like. In my book, I’ve decided to share my knowledge and my story. Let’s get better, together.

When you embark on the journey of becoming an entrepreneur, the lines between work and life can get pretty blurry, especially if you work out of a home office. You begin to forget that there’s life outside of the pile of work in front of you. It happens to all of us and isn’t something to beat yourself up over. However, it is something to be cognizant of because burnout is real and will happen if you’re not careful. Practicing self-care as an entrepreneur is essential in ensuring you’re staying healthy and reaching your maximum productivity.
